OneVillage Secures Strategic Investment from AARP and Leading Angel Investors to Expand Access to Supportive Care at No Cost to Patients
Washington, D.C. — July 9, 2025 — OneVillage, the healthcare technology company transforming how supportive care is delivered and accessed, today announced the closing of an extension to its pre-seed round, with participation from AARP and existing angel investors including Marc Katz (cofounder of Custom Ink), Ron and Cyndi Gula (co-founders of Tenable and Gula Tech Adventures), and John Neeson (founder of SiriusDecisions). This brings OneVillage’s total funding to $1.5 million, with additional backing from Techstars and Third Prime.
Supportive care services, though clinically proven to improve outcomes and reduce healthcare costs, are rarely available in the traditional medical system due to financial and operational barriers. OneVillage addresses this gap by virtualizing and centralizing the delivery of these services—reducing costs by more than 80% and making personalized care both scalable and sustainable.
This investment will be used to complete the credentialing, licensing, and contracting of OneVillage’s growing network of expert providers with all major U.S. insurance carriers and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This will enable OneVillage to offer its services—previously available only through employer partnerships—directly to health systems, employers, and consumers at no cost to patients or caregivers. By expanding access to reimbursable care, OneVillage not only reaches more individuals who need support, but also helps payers lower claims costs by addressing the root causes of chronic conditions through practical, wraparound services that are highly cost-effective to deliver.
“Supportive care—covering everything from insurance navigation to sleep and nutrition coaching—has historically been excluded from the system not because it isn’t needed, but because it hasn’t been operationally or financially viable to deliver,” said Ashley Yesayan, Founder and CEO of OneVillage. “This funding allows us to finally change that by making high-quality, whole-person care both accessible and affordable.”
Built on a precision AI-powered platform, OneVillage connects individuals to personalized care pathways that support both everyday wellness goals—such as improving sleep and nutrition—and complex health journeys involving conditions like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and heart disease. Services are delivered by a team of credentialed providers and expert navigators, incorporating trusted content from advocacy group partners such as the American Heart Association to help users manage the emotional, logistical, and financial challenges of serious health issues.
Already available as an employee benefit through insurance partners including Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Marsh, and OneDigital, OneVillage is now expanding its reach through direct partnerships with health systems and consumer-facing channels. In addition to AARP’s investment, OneVillage is also a participant in the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP, which provides invaluable expertise that is helping OneVillage better understand the needs of older adults and caregivers across all of its delivery models, from its core employee benefit offering to new health system integrations and direct-to-consumer channels. This dual support strengthens OneVillage’s ability to deliver high-impact care solutions to older adults at scale.
The participation of visionary founders Marc Katz, Ron and Cyndi Gula, and John Neeson—each of whom has helped reshape industries from custom apparel to cybersecurity—signals their support for OneVillage’s efforts to redefine how supportive care is delivered across the healthcare system.
“We’re thrilled to have AARP join the cap table,” said Marc Katz, cofounder of Custom Ink. “We all believe OneVillage is building a deeply impactful product with the potential to redefine the delivery of care, and it’s exciting to have buy-in from an iconic mission-driven organization like AARP and see them take such a tech-forward approach.”
